A key characteristic of St Peter’s Church is that everyone counts. We believe that God has given talents, abilities, strengths and gifts to every member of the church. We aspire to encourage people to use these God given gifts to serve the people around them. As a result of this there are lots of happy volunteers, working hard in various areas of church life.
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) are tasked together with the minister to look after all aspects of church activity and welfare. Subgroups are formed for special tasks and we meet bi-monthly.
The purpose of our team is to offer welcome, friendship and compassion as an active part of the ministry of everyone in the church.
We can visit those who are new to the church family, also those who are housebound, in residential care or hospital temporarily or long-term.
This is a quiet and confidential ministry, so if you know of someone who would appreciate a pastoral visit, please contact us.
We are also blessed to have a group of people who are particularly set aside to look after various practical aspects of running the church, such as organisation of events, administration, care of buildings and the various rotas that keep the church functioning well.
If you would like to get involved with helping in our Church please get in touch.
