Bible Study Group
Monday afternoons from 2.30 – 4.00 pm in Church, looking at the readings set for Sunday. It is an informal discussion group where all thoughts and ideas are valued. New members are welcome.
Salvation Army
We are now able to continue collecting food items for Burton Salvation Army, the basket will be in church which will be open every day. Tinned or packaged goods – in date please.

The Green Corridor and Churchyard Rejuvenation
A huge thank you to everyone who supported our churchyard clean-up over the weekend at the beginning of April. A really good start was made to clearing ivy, brambles, saplings, basal growth and fallen branches and we now have a very large pile of debris to make a bonfire. Thanks also to the ladies who kept the volunteers fed and watered with tea and delicious homemade cakes!
Our next outing to continue the good work is on Sunday 22nd May from 13:00 when we will be very grateful for volunteers to come along with suitable tools and equipment to tackle the overgrowth along the south wall. Thanks again for your efforts to create a Green Corridor through the village. Contact Diana Muir 473455 for more information.
Church Heating
Please note that unless we have a really, really cold May the heating in church will be turned off till the autumn.
AGM May 8th
A reminder that the AGM will follow the 10.30 service on May 8th. This is the opportunity to make any comments or ask any questions as we look back over the year, look forward to the future, approve the church accounts and elect churchwardens and PCC members for the year ahead.
Our two church wardens are standing down so please consider carefully whether you could take on this role, with the help and support of past wardens and the PCC. We are also looking for new members on the PCC. For more information on any of these roles please talk to Jeremy, Kay or Deanne, or any PCC member. Rosemary Payne
Church Tubs
It’s that time of year again ~ We will be planting up our tubs again soon. Donations to buy plants would be very much appreciated and can be popped through Angela Carr’s door in Victoria Street. Thanks again for your support.
