Please remember in your prayers too the migrants who lost their lives crossing the English Channel this week. Pray too for all who are prepared to risk their lives seeking a safe place to live, praying for an end to the situation where unscrupulous people make a fortune taking money from them.

Pray for the ’16 days of activism against gender violence’ campaign attempting to bring about change for the one in three women who suffer from domestic violence.

 

Bible Study Group

Monday afternoons from 2.30 – 4.00 pm in Church, looking at the readings set for Sunday. It is an informal discussion group where all thoughts and ideas are valued. New members will be made very welcome.

 

Tea and Toast

Tea and Toast is back! Monday mornings during term time from 9.00am to 10.00am in church. All welcome!

 

Coffee Shop

Due to insufficient numbers coming, Coffee shop will be postponed until January 2022 when the situation will be reviewed. Thanking you for your support. From the Team.

 

Salvation Army

We are now able to continue collecting food items for Burton Salvation Army, the basket will be in church which will be open every day. Tinned or packaged goods – in date please.

 

Advent

It is with delight that we are once again able to send the POSADA figures around the village.

If you would like to host Mary and Joseph for one night during Advent (28th November – 23rd December) please sign up on the list at the back of church.

 

Mothers’ Union

Mothers’ Union will meet on Wednesday 1st December at 1.45 pm in St. Peter’s church. All are welcome

 

Pathway

During Advent we will also be collecting new toys and gifts for mothers and children at the Pathway refuge in Lichfield. There will be a table in church for you to bring your gifts. Please leave them unwrapped.

Also in aid of Pathway – there is to be a Christmas Concert by Good Company Choir, on Wednesday 8th December 2.00 pm, at St. Michael’s on the Hill in Lichfield, to raise funds in support of the work of this Refuge. Tickets are £10 which includes a glass of wine. Available from Liz Binsley 472761 – If you wish to go names are needed by the end of November.

 

BIG INSIDE CHURCH CLEAN.
FRIDAY 3RD DECEMBER, 9AM – 12NOON

PLEASE, PLEASE COULD YOU COME AND SPEND AN HOUR WITH US

Polish a pew, clean some glass, hoover a seat cushion, whatever takes your fancy!

After nearly 2 years since the last proper one, it really is time to do an attack.

Materials provided. Cake, biscuits and drinks are part of the deal.

We need to start a new cleaning rota on a weekly basis after that. TWO people for an hour and a half max spent per week doing light dusting and tidying is all that is necessary.
