Trinity 8 – 25th July 2021 – Notices & Prayers
23rd July 2021 Joanna Turner

Prayers this week:

Those troubled in body, mind or spirit:

Alan & Sheila Richardson, Martha & Adie, Liz Abbott, Richard, Gwen

Those whose anniversaries fall at this time:

David Mark Bridgford, Peter Caleb Bailey, Frederick William Bradbeer

Remember all those affected by torrential flooding in many countries

Pray for our nation as places and events open up more that people will remain sensible and continue to respect the needs of others.

Pray for children and teachers on school holidays – for a time of refreshment and that they may be kept safe.

Step 4 Out of Lockdown

A meeting was held between Rev Jeremy and the Benefice Wardens to discuss our response to the introduction of the Gov. Step 4 Roadmap out of Lockdown, which came into operation on July 19th.

In the interests of everyone attending services at St Peter’s, although not mandatory, it has been decided to request that those attending services continue to follow the same pattern as that adhered to prior to July 19th.

The only difference being that the congregation may now join in the singing of the hymns if they so wish, and facemasks no longer are required to be worn when sitting in pews. (We would ask that in respect for other members of the congregation, facemasks continue to be worn at all other times when moving around the church).

Church Opening

St Peter’s will be open for services on Sundays (please refer to the rota), and as from 28th July the church will also be open all day on a Wednesday.

Flower Guild

With the church open on a regular basis please find a new rota sheet at the back of church for the Flower displays for 2021.
Please add your name if you are able to help and note the fortnightly timescale to correspond with the services to be held at St. Peter’s.
The responsibility for watering / removing the dead flowers etc. to keep a good display Is for the two weeks.
Many thanks. Sarah 01543 473046

Health and Safety Officer Required

Eric Anderson, who has been St Peter’s Health and Safety Officer for many years, feels that he is no longer able to continue in the role. Eric’s work for St Peter’s has been invaluable. If anyone is interested in taking on this role, Eric is prepared to give them all the assistance required to fulfil the job. Would any interested person please contact either Deanne or Kay as soon as possible. Thank you.
