NB Revd. Jeremy’s Installation on Saturday May 15th

Due to CoVid restrictions numbers are limited and at an event such as this there is a procedure which has to be followed, in that specific persons are required to attend, which greatly limits the numbers. Therefore on this occasion it is by invitation only.

Revd. Jeremy Brading’s first service at Yoxall, 16th May

As numbers are restricted for each service, we are proposing issuing tickets for the service on Sunday 16th May. If you wish to come then please give your name to Liz Binsley on 01543 472761 or lizandmike.83@btinternet.com

Bread of Life

A series of nine video talks about Holy Communion given by the Diocese of Lichfield bishops, beginning on 13th April. The video lectures will be available from 10am on the Tuesday of each week on our Bread Of Life webpage at www.lichfield.anglican.org/bread-of-life/ and will remain posted on our website through the summer.

Christian Aid Week is next week!

In a normal year, we deliver and collect those little red envelopes, and Yoxall is extremely generous – we usually send about £2,000 to Christian Aid.  This year, because of Covid, we are delivering the envelopes, but ask you to be kind enough to either donate online or put your donation in the envelope and push it through the letterbox at one of these drop-off points: 15 Sudbury Rd,  9 Hadley St, 3 Churchfields,  5 Swarbourn Close or 26 Lovell Rd

Church flower tubs

It’s that time of year again when we need to think about replanting our church tubs for a summer display. We think that it is a lovely feature to have outside our church. So with that in mind, we would be very grateful for any donations towards the buying of the plants and thank you for all your generous contributions in the past.  Please leave any donations with Angela Carr at Rook Cottage, Victoria Street. Tel 473512

St Peter’s Church APCM

St Peter’s Annual Parochial Church Meeting (the AGM) will be held during the 10.00am service on Sunday 9 May.  This is the meeting where the church wardens and members of the PCC are elected, the annual accounts are approved, and any comments can be made relating to the church.

We appreciate that because of Covid, this will present difficulties for some people who would like to attend, but we are legally obliged to hold the APCM before May 31 2021.  The agenda, minutes of the last meeting, nomination forms, annual accounts (when available) and reports of church activities for 2020 will be distributed electronically or as a hard copy, and hard copies will be available in church.

We would ask that if you have any comments or questions that you would like to raise at the APCM, please let Rosemary Payne know in advance of the meeting.(Telephone 472943)

Notice Sheets from Kings Bromley, Hamstall Ridware and Mavesyn Ridware

In addition to the Notice sheet for Yoxall, we will be sending out the Notice sheets for the other Churches in our Benefice each week so that we can all pray for one another at this time.
