The Second Sunday of Christmas – 3rd January 2021 – Notices & Prayers
1st January 2021 Joanna Turner

MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL IN 2021

We’re in lockdown!  We can’t celebrate as we would like to do!  We can’t cuddle friends and family!

But yet, we CAN bring the light of Christ into our life and the lives of others.  We CAN bring the hope of Christ into our community and our world.  We CAN pray for everyone.  We CAN show the love of God.

And so, yes, I pray you all have a very HAPPY new year.

Prayers this week for:

Those troubled in mind, body or spirit:

Richard Gunton; Bev; Revd. Les Rees; Martha; Bill Child; Vince; Jane Williams

and for all hospitalised by Covid 19

Those who have died:

It is with great sadness that we let you know of the sudden death of Val Saltrese

so we remember Val and also pray for her daughter Alison with her husband Robert

Those whose anniversaries fall at this time:

Doris Clarke; Kathleen Buchanan; Joan Wright; Henry Buxton; Phyllis Allen

Pray too for all who will be feeling low at this time of further restrictions and for those whose businesses and work is affected.

Pray for our hospitals and hospital staff facing extreme workloads.

Give thanks for the supply of vaccines and pray for all who will be organising their distribution.

Children’s Society Boxes

Please note that I will not be collecting the Children’s Society Boxes until January 2021. Due to Covid19 restrictions, I will collect the Boxes directly from your home at a time convenient to you. Please do not deliver the boxes to Rosie, Cynthia or Viv. Deanne.

Face coverings in church are now a legal requirement just as they are required in supermarkets and other places. Yes, we all know that they are uncomfortable and difficult to wear, they steam up your glasses and it feels hard to breathe. But we do this to protect each other from the transmission of the virus. During the pandemic lockdown, we have been accustomed to making sacrifices to protect the well-being of others. This is a little thing that we can do to protect our Christian community from Covid-19.

Notice Sheets from Kings Bromley, Hamstall Ridware and Mavesyn Ridware

In addition to the Notice sheet for Yoxall, we will be sending out the Notice sheets for the other Churches in our Benefice each week so that we can all pray for one another at this time.
