Although we have not been able to have the Traidcraft stall in church over the last few months, we have still been selling items from our store and several of you have bought goods we have in stock (especially chocolate!). We are now having a new consignment of goods so if anyone wishes to purchase Traidcraft items please let us know on 01543 472761 or We shall be having a fresh supply of tea; coffee; chocolate; biscuits; dried fruit (remember Christmas is approaching) Toilet rolls; Kitchen roll; Muesli and we are also having some Divine Chocolate Advent Calendars, which also contain the Christmas story. We also have a supply of Traidcraft catalogues if you would like to look at one for yourselves. Just get in touch. Liz and Mike

During Advent, we collect toys and gifts for women and children at the Pathway Refuge in Lichfield. We are not able to have the usual table in St. Peter’s church for you to bring your donations. Pathway are still in need of these items and we will be collecting them until the 13th December, after which they will be taken to the Refuge. NEW toys and gifts only please, and do leave them unwrapped.

You can either deliver them to 83 Lightwood Road; ‘phone 472761 for collection or bring them to St. Peter’s church on Sunday 13th  December following the morning service. The church will be open until 1.00 pm for your donations.

Crib/Christingle Service 4 pm on 20th December

We are able to hold a Crib/Christingle Service this year but due to Covid restrictions, it will be on Sunday 20th December at 4pm.  Numbers will be severely restricted and so we will be issuing tickets.  Please apply to Liz Binsley for tickets if you want to come along (01543 472761).  We are hoping to live stream the service so that others can take part remotely.  We will all be making Christingles as part of the service and so you will need to bring along the ‘ingredients’. A list will be issued with the tickets.  If you have any queries, please contact Rev Marilyn.

Carol singing

We will not be able to hold a Carol Service this year as we are still not allowed to sing in Church.  We are hoping to arrange a Carol singing ‘event’ so please watch out for notices in village noticeboards, the weekly notice sheets, on Facebook, and on the webpages.

Children’s Society Boxes

Please note that I will not be collecting the Children’s Society Boxes until January 2021. Due to Covid19 restrictions, I will collect the Boxes directly from your home at a time convenient to you. Please do not deliver the boxes to Rosie, Cynthia or Viv. Deanne.

Midnight Mass

Because of Covid restrictions, we will need to issue tickets for the Midnight Mass service.  Please contact Liz Binsley (01543 472761)

Face coverings in church are now a legal requirement just as they are required in supermarkets and other places. Yes, we all know that they are uncomfortable and difficult to wear, they steam up your glasses and it feels hard to breathe. But we do this to protect each other from the transmission of the virus. During the pandemic lockdown, we have been accustomed to making sacrifices to protect the well-being of others. This is a little thing that we can do to protect our Christian community from Covid-19.

Notice Sheets from Kings Bromley, Hamstall Ridware and Mavesyn Ridware

In addition to the Notice sheet for Yoxall, we will be sending out the Notice sheets for the other Churches in our Benefice each week so that we can all pray for one another at this time.
