We are preparing to re-open our Churches for public worship. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive the Church’s guidance on this until late on Wednesday so we won’t be ready for this Sunday or next but we are planning to open on Sunday 19th July. (See Notice below)
For some, this will feel too soon. For others, it will be a welcome easing of restrictions. Whatever you are feeling we are here to support you. The only right response is yours so please don’t feel under any pressure one way or the other. The Service at Home sheets will continue to be sent to everyone.
These are if anything, more uncertain times than the last 3 months. Will people keep say? Will there be a second spike? Will we have to go through all this again because some people won’t be sensible? (I have to remember my impatience as a younger person!!)
It’s at times like this that we have to rely on the strength and certainty of our God who is constant and faithful. We also have the assurance of Jesus that God loves us, wants the best for us, and WILL answer our prayers.
So, keep praying, especially for those who seem to be taking risks, for those who will catch the virus as a result of reckless action and for those we know who are feeling isolated or fearful.
My friends, we have a God who will not just bring us through this time but will make us stronger and more loving.
God bless you all.
